S. Loomis, catalog\u00f3 367 pruebas diferentes, otros autores hablan de 1000), m\u00e1s que para cualquier otro teorema matem\u00e1tico. Estas pruebas han sido ideadas por gente de muy diferente condici\u00f3n entre la que se incluye a un mago babilonio, un estudiante de Ohio de 14 a\u00f1os de edad con un nivel intelectual normal o el genio de las matem\u00e1ticas de 21 a\u00f1os Galois, as\u00ed como James A. Garfield, que se convirti\u00f3 en presidente de los Estados Unidos en 1881.<\/p>\r\n<figure id=\"attachment_1317\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1317\" style=\"width: 150px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mj2artesanos.es\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/imagen-14-e28093-chou-pei-suan-ching-e1397415475193.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-1317\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mj2artesanos.es\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/imagen-14-e28093-chou-pei-suan-ching-e1397415475193-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"Chou-Pei Suan-Ching (hacia el 300 a.n.e.)\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1317\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Chou-Pei Suan-Ching (hacia el 300 a.n.e.)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\r\n<p>Una tradici\u00f3n muy persistente con base documental en Vitrubio, Plutarco, Di\u00f3genes Laercio, Ateneo y Proclo, atribuye el Teorema de Pit\u00e1goras al propio Pit\u00e1goras. Pero los descubrimientos arqueol\u00f3gicos de los restos de las culturas de Mesopotamia, Egipto, India y China, han revelado que estas civilizaciones conoc\u00edan aspectos del\u00a0<em>Teorema de Pit\u00e1goras<\/em>\u00a0muchos siglos antes que este sabio. Las referencias prehel\u00e9nicas al Teorema no contienen, sin embargo, pruebas del mismo, mientras que es generalizada la creencia de que fue Pit\u00e1goras (o bien alguno de sus disc\u00edpulos) el primero en proporcionarnos una demostraci\u00f3n l\u00f3gica del Teorema, lo que har\u00e1 justo que \u00e9ste haya pasado a la historia con su nombre.<\/p>\r\n<figure id=\"attachment_1315\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1315\" style=\"width: 150px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mj2artesanos.es\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/pitag22.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-thumbnail wp-image-1315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mj2artesanos.es\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/pitag22-150x150.gif\" alt=\"Demostraci\u00f3n de Perigal\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1315\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Demostraci\u00f3n de Perigal<\/figcaption><\/figure>\r\n<p>Otra raz\u00f3n importante para la gran cantidad de demostraciones existentes, es que en la Edad Media se exig\u00eda una nueva demostraci\u00f3n para conseguir el grado de \u00a0\u00abMag\u00edster\u00a0matheseos\u00bb.<\/p>\r\n<p>Encontramos demostraciones m\u00e1s o menos intuitivas, algebraicas, geom\u00e9tricas y gr\u00e1ficas, (puzzles pitag\u00f3ricos).<\/p>\r\n<p>Incluso el arte se ha contagiado del esp\u00edritu de \u00e9ste teorema, que ha inspirado a diversos artistas.<\/p>\r\n<figure id=\"attachment_1316\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1316\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mj2artesanos.es\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/imagen-12-williamphaas-pythagoras2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-1316\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mj2artesanos.es\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/imagen-12-williamphaas-pythagoras2-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"William P. Haas, La visi\u00f3n de Pit\u00e1goras (1993)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\r\n<p>Desde\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cuantaciencia.com\/\">www.cuantaciencia.com<\/a> nos animaron a construir una de las m\u00e1s sencillas, de manera que de un s\u00f3lo vistazo y de una manera divertida podemos comprobar que efectivamente, que si un tri\u00e1ngulo rect\u00e1ngulo tiene catetos\u00a0de longitudes <strong>a\u00a0<\/strong>y <strong>b<\/strong>\u00a0, y la medida de la\u00a0hipotenusa\u00a0es <strong>c<\/strong>, se establece que:<\/p>\r\n<blockquote>\r\n<p>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/upload.wikimedia.org\/math\/e\/f\/a\/efaa26311781f6e9c04ecd1c6f9f37e9.png\" alt=\" c^2 = a^2 + b^2 \\,\" \/><\/p>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n<p>Aqu\u00ed os presentamos nuestra demostraci\u00f3n pr\u00e1ctica en un im\u00e1n de nevera.
