Cylinder seals were small cylinders made of stone, glass, or other materials, often semiprecious stones, with a carved relief. When rolled on a clay tablet, they left engraved motifs, either as a record of the contents of containers or as a seal on documents.
They often featured a drawing accompanied by a short text identifying the owner, so they were used for administrative purposes, such as signatures, certificates, or official approval.
In this case, we present a replica of a seal held in the British Museum.

The seated figure is the sun god Shamash, seated in front of a sun disk and beneath a cross, his two symbols.
The seven-line cuneiform inscription is a prayer to Shamash.
Our reproduction is made of resin and comes with a tablet of clay for printing as many times as you like.
